Jojoba Oil is extracted from the nut produced by the Jojoba Shrub found mostly in the Mexican and Southwestern regions of the States and has many remarkable properties. It has a waxy texture that matches the most to the skin’s natural oils.

It comes with myriads of soothing attributes that can help with the treatment of different skin conditions. Jojoba Oil is an excellent aid in fighting acne, eczemas, sunburns, and aging. It can serve as both carrier oil and essential oil itself, even without any dilution.

The oil also is a good remedy for sebum control and dehydrated skin. It is rich in Vitamin E and B and some antioxidants such as Copper and Zinc; hence it is fantastic for achieving radiant skin. Even though it can suit all skin types, let us not forget that Jojoba oil is a boon for acne-prone, combination skin types.

Jojoba Oil for Facial Cleansing

Cleansing the skin using some oil might seem peculiar and quite out of the way, but it is important to know that the method of oil cleansing can come out as a simple yet fruitful one. It leaves the skin soft, dewy, soothed, and glowing. It hydrates the skin providing it with all the vital nutrients to heal and boost up.

It should be clear that cleansing does not mean to lather up the skin with some product; instead, the main goal is proper decontamination, moisturizing, and protection of your skin. Using appropriate essential oil over the skin’s pre-existing natural oil can help wipe away all the impurities from your skin, purge out any particles of dust remaining, and scrub away the dead skin and blackheads. It is safe to use Jojoba Oil around the eye area.

Jojoba oil is an excellent oil for facial cleansing as it not only purifies the skin but also helps control the unnecessary sheen on your face caused by excessive sebum production. Moreover, it can be an efficient treatment for the acne breakouts and a fantastic moisturizer when it comes to combination skin type. Hence, Jojoba Oil Cleansing can be an excellent recommendation to be added up in the night time skincare routine.

Accurate and congruous cleansing with jojoba oil nourishes the skin naturally, making it healthy and dazzling. It helps get rid of issues like blemishes, clogged pores, whiteheads, wrinkles, and sensitivity glitches. It has antifungal properties that protect your skin from infections and removes all the makeup from your face without making it greasy. So you do not need a chemically synthesized makeup remover for your face anymore!

Let’s dive into how we can use Jojoba oil for cleansing our face and achieving the desired results. This is to be taken care of that before trying it out on your skin, a patch test is necessary. Looking up for any reactions is a precaution.  There are following ways to use Jojoba Oil as a facial cleanser before you go to bed:

Deep Cleansing Method with Jojoba Oil

Apply a small amount, preferably ½ teaspoon to begin, of Jojoba Oil (without any carrier oil) on your face using any cotton pad or directly with your fingers.

Give a thorough and gentle massage in circular motions with the tips of your fingers for almost 10 to 15 minutes. Wipe off all makeup if you are wearing. Continue massaging and use more oil if needed.

Leave it on and let it penetrate your skin. Also, apply on your lips to remove the chapped skin and heal any cracks. Dampen a towel with hot water. Make sure the heat is bearable for your skin. Put the towel over your face and leave for a minute or two.

Gently wipe off any leftover impurities that you feel on your skin using a cotton pad. Repeat the procedure of massaging and wiping off.

Now rinse your face with lukewarm water. If you feel dryness over your face after rinsing, apply 2 or 3 drops of Jojoba oil onto the skin for moisturizing. Your skin will be softer, non-greasy, and radiant.

Jojoba Oil for Moisturizing

Add a few drops of Jojoba oil to any mild moisturizer and apply it on your face.

Massage gently in circular motions. This will not only cleanse out impurities from the skin but will also give a soothing effect and leave your skin very soft with no unpleasant sheen.

As the oil gets absorbed into the skin along with the moisturizer, it will compensate all the necessities and control the excessive production of sebum on the face. Hence there would be no unwanted greasiness on your face.

Jojoba Oil helps to treat Acne

  1. To treat the acne marks, pour a drop or two of the Jojoba oil mixed with tea tree oil on a q-tip.
  2. Softly dab it over the spot. This will reduce the redness caused by the breakouts and gradually heal the scars after consistent use.

This was all about how Jojoba oil can work for you as a cleanser. Other than these ways, this oil can be used in several DIYs, serums, and masks that are very vital for anti-aging, fighting psoriasis, wrinkles, and skin infections.

Initially, the use of this oil might cause your skin to breakout slightly but do not panic as the situation settles down later, and the oil starts performing its function to control your skin conditions.  Sometimes, using carrier oils can enhance the functioning, and sometimes only Jojoba oil is the solution to your problems. Hence, it depends on what you prefer for your skin conditions.
